@Ken - looking forward to seeing your Firefox fashion line!

@GC - Good questions. As far as our financial relationship goes, Zazzle sets a minimum base price for all products and then lets their partners set the official retail price so they can determine their profit margins. Because Mozilla is doing this to give the community better access to more t-shirts (as opposed to making money), we've marked all our goods down to the lowest allowable price. The money we make off the shirts goes back to the general Mozilla Foundation fund (as opposed to MoCo) rather than being allocated towards specific projects. Zazzle, on the other hand, is a commercial enterprise and does keep their share of the profits (we have the same arrangements with our store.mozilla.org providers, fwiw).

@Robert - sorry to hear that...the best thing to do would be to follow up with me or Tara Shahian directly so we can figure out what happened and get your design up in the store. (I'm assuming it's different from the SeaMonkey one we uploaded - http://communitystore.mozilla.org/gallery/view/528) As for working with Zazzle, I'm not sure but would be happy to put you in touch with our account rep there...she could answer any questions, I'm sure.

Unfortunately the design for the black SeaMonkey T-shirt I posted very much at the beginning when the store was opened is still not online there and I never got any notification about anything happening. I ordered it for myself as a custom short and it looks very well, but I've never seen it on the community store :(

Additionally, do you know if there would be a good chance to make a complete SeaMonkey store in a similar style to the stuff you did there? Our current store is at cafepress and those guys are unable to do reasonable printing on dark background, while Zazzle does that beautifully...

What is the financial relationship between Mozilla, the projects, Zazzle, and the t-shirts sold?
Does each project track sales of t-shirts that use its trademarks (name or logo or mascot)?
Does Mozilla subsidize Zazzle to carry unprofitable t-shirts in this store?
Does Zazzle keep any profits?
Do profits go to the general Mozilla fund for bugzilla, hg, etc. infrastructure?
Does buying a project's t-shirts help directly financially support that project?

That's awesome and I'm inspired. Look for my line of Mozilla branded sexy wear coming out mid summer.

"if you’re planning on doing some shopping to round out your summer wardrobe"
Well, I could use some new boxers but I think a few pairs with the IE logo on the seat would be more appropriate.
