I think the previous header, with “Mozilla Creative Collective”, is better. “Welcome” is too prominent and feel missplaced in that position, while it could be ok on the lower content area.

The rest of the design is really clear and it’s very cool. A great work!

Thanks for the comments. To echo what Lucy & Gordon said, we could probably keep tweaking forever but I think we’re pretty close to having something we can start coding. We can always make additional refinements once its live…

Usually, the big striking colored type in the top of the sites are their names and not a salutation. I think this way brings more attention to the “Welcome” as being the name of the site, instead of the logo in the left side. Oh, and the text in the header was a good move.

Menu and “Post your design” button are better placed as well as their design. The search and the “join us/log in” links are still poorly placed.

I think the text “See more popular designs (…)” shouldn’t be bold.

And in general, I expected more round and less square. Get it?

Will you put the design page for review?

Ooh, this one is even better. You didn’t use any of my suggestions from Round 1, but I think that may be a good thing. Looking at it again, I’m not sure what I was thinking. It was probably so late that I shouldn’t have said anything at all.

Anyway… It looks very good, and I’m hard-pressed to come up with any suggestions. Perhaps play with the placement of the three columns on the bottom? Maybe put the news on the left of the 9 boxes, or in between the two picture columns? I’m not sure.

But tell Airbag to keep up the good work!

Interesting! I like different elements of Round 1 and Round 2 better.

From Round 1 I like that the header is the name of the site. I also really like the little star in the nav indicating where you are.

From Round 2 I like the better use of the header in terms of moving the intro text there. I also really like that “Post your design” is now part of the nav strip. I think that’ll really help emphasize that contributions are welcome.

I’m not sure what to think about the search though. I think having it in the header made more sense in Round 1 when the nav was there. Maybe trade it with join/login and keep it to the right?

Out of curiosity did you consider leaving the nav in the header and moving up the “post your design” button? Don’t mind me too much though, I like iterating on creative stuff. Both rounds are definitely cool as they are.
