Question of the Week: If Firefox Was a Fictional Character, Who Would it Be?
The title of this post pretty much says it all, but I’ll repeat it again: if Firefox was a fictional character (from any medium – movie, book, TV show, song, comic, epic poem, etc), who would it be?
Although this might sound insanely frivolous, I’m actually really interested to hear what you come up with. Call it an informal brand perception survey.
So, think about it and post the first thing that comes to mind in the comments section. As added incentive, I’ll send a fabulous Firefox t-shirt (or equivalent merch item) to the person who submits my favorite answer.
Thanks!

Jean Grey AKA Phoenix, X-Men. Shares codename with earliest incarnation of Firefox. Phoenix costume shares same color scheme as Firefox icon. Can read your mind with her telepathic abilities just like the awesome bar. Can move things with the power of her mind for instance, a stagnant browser market, web standards and increasing market share. Oh, and she’s also sleek and sexy.

Batman, Specifically the 90s Animated Batman, Because it is not only bad ass but also has lots of options does the right thing (observe web standards), Fights agents crime (helps reduce computer infections from malware and also helps prevent phishing attacks) Has lots of accessories (extensions). By the same Token Internet Explorer specifically IE6 is the Joker (no pun intended)
because it can hurt people (major security flaws) breaks the law (does not support all the web standards) and no matter how many times you defeat it or think its dead it always pops back up to ruin everyone’s day (self explanatory)

I was also going to say Robin Hood, actually
More specifically though, the Robin Hood from Disney’s classic animated film, who conveniently happens to be portrayed as a fox: http://bit.ly/93hmAq.
I feel like there must be another character out there that’s more fitting, but considering that this is a brand perception survey… it’s what immediately comes to mind that matters. And the first character I thought of, was Robin Hood. So, I’ll stick with that!

Arthur Weasley
Roots for the less powerful, makes running a big family full of colourful characters look cool, deceptively authoritative, sticks to the rule of the law etc. Has a big heart and stands for equality despite being a pureblood himself.

Vinayaka aka Ganesha aka Pillaiyar.
That’s a Hindu God, elephant-headed, prominent in mythology.
He is apparently very down to earth, takes infinte forms(kan thirusthi pillayar, laptop pillayar etc.)
And he’s the most beloved of Hindu Gods. Every Indian Student would have broken a coconut as an offering to him before an exam.
